FNB empties my account without any notification or explanation on the premise of it being a Sars pledge

FNB is pledging sars funds with no authority and just emptying accounts. I was paid my refund by SARS, then two days later FNB literally took all the money in my account, leaving it at exactly zero, without notification nothing. I literally did not get an SMS, email, or any transactional information on my banking app. I had to find out by getting my card declined. When I phoned FNB I was told by five (there's no kinder word than pure idiotic) consultants that I had spent the money (insert eye roll) and not even clear math would change their minds. Then finally someone who could do math informed me they have pledged the money for Sars and I must call them?! This is on Fri afternoon and it's a long weekend. I managed to get hold of Sars who says it was not done on their end. I always sang fnbs praises but after this I'm definitely leaving. Going to capitec. This is the biggest joke and I don't feel comfortable leaving my money in an account where it can all be taken in a heartbeat without me knowing, and having to find out in such an embarrassing way, and then to have to fight for over an hour with pathetically *********** staff to get to the truth. This bank sucks. Literally scared to have money in this account now.

Reviewer Update
I have only received a generic answer which hasn't resolved the issue at all. I have yet to hear from anyone that isn't a robot. Really frustrating as I have now counted literally 10 other reviews on hello Peter alone dating back 4 years with exactly the same issue: completely unathorised sars refund reversals by FNB. I am certain if I did a thorough search I'll find hundreds more. Sars didn't authorise the reversal, and I didn't authorise it. Sars has no record of the 'pledge' or the money, so essentially FNB has the funds. So far I have only found information that links FNB to this issue, no other banks do this. FNB better sort this out. I'm going to continue reviewing on every platform I can as this is basically theft. Other people I spoke to had to get lawyers to resolve this; sincerely hope FNB will pay me back my money without this becoming necessary. Honestly, the service alone that I received when calling FNB with regards to my bank account being emptied without notification, is more than enough for me to leave the bank.
