FNB - Ebucks Reward Joke

This review is all about FNB and their ebucks rewards program. I moved over from my previous bank after being a client with them for 14 years, the reason being that FNB promised me better service as well as more rewards if I moved over to them.

So reading up on all the benefits I then moved over, especially the ebucks rewards, I have been a client with FNB since Feb this year and in this time I moved and inconvenienced myself by changing shops where I used to shop because of the benefit of the ebucks, after 8 months I then moved up to "level 3" on their ebucks scale and the rewards were worth it.

About 2 weeks ago I get a call from an FNB agent telling me that because of the way I look after my account they would like to upgrade my account from a Gold cheque account to a Premium account and she insured me that there will not be any changes made to my account I will just receive a new card and pin and this will cost about R130 more monthly on bank fees but the benefits are even better than what I had at that moment, so I then agreed to this and to my surprise when I received my ebucks points today I have moved back down to a "level 1" on the scale and lost all my point that I collected on my Gold cheque account, I inquired on this and what do the agent tell me "Sorry but when you upgraded on your account you were moved back to a "Level 1" scale and we cannot do anything for you.

I have written this review to warn the people out there of the sort of "promises" is made by FNB and when inquiring on the unfair treatment the sort of feedback is given.
