FNB Ebucks no longer the best

Ebucks used to be the best loyalty programme around in my opinion and I was proud to be a member of it. However as time has passed it has become very disappointing as the ability to earn loyalty points has become more & more difficult - you basically need to have a substantial number of FNB's products if you want to earn any worthwhile loyalty points. What is more - FNB's partners have dwindled and they now have very few worthwhile places to earn or spend Ebucks. They pulled out of two noteworthy retail partners - Makro (without much notification to their loyal customers I might add) and Dischem, much to my dismay. Another negative point is that one used to be able to swipe your Ebucks card at their partner's points of sale to earn points but now you have to use your FNB credit/debit card to earn. Why should a loyalty programme force you to do certain things before they consider you worthy enough to reward? Isn't it enough that the customer has the products they want to have with FNB and that they remain loyal to them by reverting to them when they actually need a product? I find myself nowadays wishing I was a member of another loyalty programme - it seems Ucount and ABSA's loyalty programmes have surpassed Ebucks in their offerings to the customer. FNB needs to realise that customers like a decent rewards programme which makes them feel appreciated for the loyalty they bestow on a company.
