FNB eBucks - Engen ****
I actively manage my ebucks, and actively only fill up at Engen to earn double up on my fuel spend... During September 2022, I spent R400 on fuel at Regal Motors (they use FNB speedpoints, and I scanned to pay). FNB says I didnt qualify for my double up for the quarter ending Sep 2022, as I didnt buy fuel only from Engen, and they sited this transaction. I asked them to please google Regal Motors and they will see it is indeed an Engen site. They claim for AUDIT purposes, i must send the slip through to them before they can escalate and solve the issue. This makes no sense at all, as I'm not disputing the fact that I didnt buy fuel (I did buy the fuel), and it was fuel and not from the convenience store (FNB knows this as they grouped it under my fuel spend), so if FNB agrees that I bought fuel, and it picked up on their systems as not an Engen site, why do you need me to send the fuel slip? Why can you not use technology (most innovative Bank in SA??) to update your system, and pay the ebucks you promise if customers adhere to your criteria. This is the second month (in a row) FNB and Ebucks has *****ed me over... Time to CHANGE. Discovery is getting better, ABSA has a solid offering on fuel from Sasol and Dis Chem (Better than FNB and Engen and Clicks).
