FNB Early EDO Collections 13 Dec 2019

We have been loyal clients with FNB since 2006 and our bank account reached Private Wealth status. I was always happy with their service and recommended many friends to FNB due to their level of professionalism and great service. However FNB attempted to collect funds for our personal loans on 13 December from our shared bank account without our consent although we only receive our salary by the 20th of this month. Great was our horror when we tried to buy food for my parents staying over last night and there wasn’t any money left in the account due to all the early EDO collections and we had to borrow money from our daughter. We spent over an hour on the phone yesterday trying to reverse one debit order, after reversal the next debit order was deducted and the call centre’s excuse is “sorry for the inconvenience”. Please set our account in order as we have to cover our expenses for the next week and I still want to continue as a loyal FNB client. Thank you.

Thank you for your response and feedback. The Loan Department was able to reverse the second debit order this morning.
Kindly consult with your clients and obtain their consent before deductions are made resulting in frustration as FNB is really a great bank.
I opened a business account this morning hassle free.
