Fnb e-wallet is the biggest **** ever!!!
I'm not an fnb customer and I don't think I'd EVER consider becoming one again. I switched banks after seeing that I was being charged a fortune in bank charges for nothing quite frankly. Half the nonsense they charge for in service fees is free with most banks. My upset is more regarding their ***!!!n e-wallet services that charge a service fee to the recipient for what I do not know. On several occasions I have realized that 1. The e-wallet pin expires even before the 16 hour period lapse. If somebody sends you money today for instance and you try to withdraw it the day after even before the 16 hour period lapses, they charge you a service fee of about R3. Now bare in mind this is completely strategic on their part because first of all you can't withdraw R10s and R20s from their atms. Today a friend send me R500 via the service at around 12pm and I rushed to the atm at around 4pm which is is still within the 16 hour period. I got to the atm and tried to withdrawal the money and I was given the option of only withdrawing a minimum of R50 or a maximum of R450. I cancelled the transaction cause I WANTED TO WITHDRAW R500 AND NOT R450! I quickly rushed to another fnb at another location mind you. Spending my time and petrol so that I could withdraw R500! I get there , punch in the details and suddenly I get an error that my pin was incorrect. Now at this point I'm livid because I'm puching in the exact same pin I had used at the previous atm. Had to purchase airtime to generate another pin which by the way was another unwanted cost. The pin is generated and all of a sudden my total maximum amount withdrawable is "R497.37". LIKE HOW!!! Meaning that I was being forced to take the maximum amount of R450 and with the remaining balance, I have to end up buying some nonsense from them which I have no interest in doing because I'm not a ***!!!n client of theirs and I have no interest doing. Now this annoys me for 2 reasons. 1 I never have this problem with other banks and I mean ever!!!!!!!! Standard, ned, capitec, absa etc never gives this issue. You get send R500 you get the money as is. Their atms all dispense 10s and 20s what makes fnb an exception??? Secondly the fact that they're trying to gain even from customers who are not their own is disgusting to say the least. I feel that it goes against good business practice and moral. Why must I be charged a service fee to collect money from your ****** atms??? Why must I be forced to part with R50 every time somebody sends me and e-wallet why? I am so frustrated because this has become a reoccurring issue which leads me to believe that they have stored my number on some or other of their systems to basically ***** me over whenever I use their e-wallet service which is pure malicious and ******** to say the least!!!! Believe me this was the final straw I will never use this facility again and I will make sure I make a noise about this on every social media platform.!!! Quite frankly I hope they lose customers because they're nothing but ****s who ***** from the unsuspecting. Nxa!!!!!
