FNB don't want Trust customers

(1) Had a Business Essentials account for my family trust (nr ********** 4299).

(2) FNB then closed the account due to supposed "inactivity", HOWEVER, without ANY warning or communication to me.

(3) They don't seem to understand the Family Trusts will long-term investments have infrequent, typically annual activity only and 9 months of inactivity is to be expected. FNB clearly has no clue.

(4) I then asked that it be re-instated, but was told to re-apply and FICA for all trustrees, and independent trustee. What an admin nightmare. This after I submitted FICA documentation to their FICA attorneys in 2015 shortly before they closed the account.

(5) After 3 trips to the Centurion branch on 19 July to get them to submit all the documents online,

(6) I phoned the Business line at ********** 479 and they confirmed that all necessary documents where on the system and they would request the hold to be lifted.

(7) To date I still cannot see the account on my profile and no communication from FNB.

(8) I now use this channel to communicate as clearly the branch and Business line are not working.

So one day after receiving an SMS and email from FNB saying that they are investigating, I got a phone call this afternoon around 15:00 from FNB, asking me what my Business Account number is that I am complaining about!!!!

So this is now more than a week later.....NO response whatsoever from FNB. So the statement by the Complains Resolution section has yielded little:"

please accept our apologies for the disappointing experience and the unnecessary concern caused.

we're already liaising with our relevant departments to get this sorted out ASAP and will be in touch as soon as the necessary investigations have been done."

Good Day Mr Stoltz,

I trust you are well.

Thank you for your response. Kindly be advised that the relevant department has been in contact with you to no avail. However have requested them to email you and advise you again, they have mentioned this account was previously closed in the past and the dormancy process has been discussed with you. In order to reactivate your account you will need to visit your nearest branch and provide the relevant documents.

Trust deed

Thank you and kind regards,

This is a joke! I have ALREADY re-sumitted the documents that you are referring to! And no-one has contacted me as you suggest in this post. Clearly you need to get your facts straight!

Daffnie, I need YOUR manager's contact details as you make false statements, assusing me of: "Kindly be advised that the relevant department has been in contact with you to no avail". What does this mean? Like you could not reach me or are you saying I did not understand what you are saying?

The following statement is OLD news to me, and i have ALREADY submitted the documents. So why did you respond as follows:?

"However have requested them to email you and advise you again, thy have mentioned this account was previously closed in the past and the dormancy process has been discussed with you. In order to reactivate your account you will need to visit your nearest branch and provide the relevant documents."
