FNB DOESNT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS ANYMORE
I honestly wish i could give zero stars.
I have had an FNB account since i was 18 years old and have always been FNBs number one fan, I always believed they were the best bank. I DO NOT ANYMORE!
Since last year I have noticed a decline in customer service skills, and just an over all incompetence when it comes to anything that is via the phone.
If you call FNB for anything, be prepared to use every last drop of your airtime and take the day off work. I think my worst day was R400 worth of airtime spent and i was on call to them from 9am to 4:30pm, and still was not helped.
Not only is the bot that speaks to you beyond useless, and you will punch your ID number in maybe 50 times in one call, but you just go in circles until you hopefully land in the right department. The people you talk to you speak to cant even send you to the right department. I once asked for the direct line to loan sales department from 8 different agents and received 8 different numbers... I mean really? Some agents are great, majority have screaming children, laughing friends or blarring tv noises in the background and get very ****y when you tell them you can't hear them. Some of them sound miles away as if the phone is on loud speaker and when you say nicely that you cant hear them they tell you then get up and move around.
But today took the cake, not only did I have to be on call to FNB for 2 hours going through this never ending round about of abject incompetence, but when I finally got through, I was told my loan application was denied due to my account being currently in arrears. MY ACCOUNT ISNT IN ARREARS. I then explained that to be fair it was in arrears, I was paid late, so on the 30th of the month it was in arrears. I was paid on the 1st and it was no longer in arrears, but on the app it still says that I am in arrears, when I am not. Did you follow that?
I then explained that it is totally unfair that I have been declined, especially since I actually generally have very good credit due, to FNBs glitch, to which I was told I can wait 30 days before re-applying one FNB fixes the fact that I am no longer in arrears. WHO DO YOU KNOW NEEDS A LOAN, BUT IS HAPPY TO WAIT 30 DAYS FOR THE MONEY?
It just seems that FNB is beyond useless at this point.
I would like someone to contact me so I can actually close my account with them and switch over to a different bank at this point. Im done! Unless someone would actually like to assist me, im not interested in dealing with this bull**** any longer.
From a very disappointed customer
