FNB does not deserve to use the slogan "how can we help you"!
My first complaint mail on HelloPeter on 20 Sept 2020: FNB does not deserve to use the slogan "how can we help you"! FNB should change their slogan from "how can we help you" to "how can we make your problems infinitely worse by shunting you from pillar to post, department to department, automated answering service to automated answering service..." I've been a loyal customer of FNB's for over 10 years and I'm incredibly frustrated that their call centre (even that of Premier Banking) can never assist me efficiently, but rather guarantees that I will be consumed by endless red tape until I just give up. I received a very phishy KYC email and, in attempting to query it, I've been sent from the ***** department to the premier banking department to the KYC department to the home loans department and I STILL have no proper confirmation on whether a) the email sent to me was legitimate or b) if the docs requested are even outstanding. The email was poorly written and the email address doesn't seem real (no one I have spoken with at FNB thus far knows that address). I am worried I've been a victim of the Experion data breach and now my information is being phished! I am tired of being directed back to the useless call centre, where I have to listen to automated voices talking ******* (burning up my airtime), inputting my ID number or card number 10 times, having to listen to a dozen options before I can even try figure out the correct one, thereafter only finding out AGAIN that I've reached the wrong person and must start again. Even when I ask, no one can even provide me with a direct line to the right person to help me. THIS IS THE MOST INFURIATING CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. I may as well be dealing with a government department, or just go back to Standard Bank! This is not acceptable and should NOT be case when I am supposedly a Premier client of a high profile bank like FNB. My SECOND complaint mail to HP on 25 Sept 2020: STILL waiting for assistance regarding my last complaint FNB, I am STILL waiting for assistance regarding my last complaint: **** I received two phone calls from you guys by way of resolution, however they happened while I was on work calls with clients (so I obviously could not answer). No calls came again thereafter but a voicemail was left for me to call the client resolution centre ****). I have done so numerous times and guess what - I am again each time placed on hold for ages. When given the option to leave a message, I am told by the automated voice that the mailbox is full! (Nice to know you guys attend to your complaints so regularly. Unless, of course, the mail box is full just from today. Very possible.) I would like a call back on my cell TODAY please. And if there is no answer, please don't give up so easily - I use my cell for work calls periodically throughout the day (8-5pm). If you can't reach me once or twice, it's very likely you will the third time. My 3rd complaint to HP on 30 Sept 2020: FNB where is my Customer Resolution phone call as promised? FNB you deserve ZERO out of 5 stars. Where is my Customer Resolution phone call as promised??? I last communicated with you via this platform on Friday, 25 September and it's now Wednesday, 30 September. Per your SMS response, a call was promised to me within 24/48 business hours from Friday and still nothing! The SMS called it "High Priority Complaint" - this was obviously a lie. Am I not important to this bank anymore, because I'm no longer earning consistently due to Covid? (But I bet you're still happy to have my home loan!) This is the THIRD time I've had to complain on Hello Peter in order to try and reach you. This kind of treatment is the reason why I moved all my accounts from Standard Bank in the first place. I've got a good mind to do this again and go to Absa.
