FNB does not care about the environment and forces new unwanted cards on customers
FNB took it upon themselves to issue me with a new card - I had not asked for one and there was nothing wrong with the card I had. FNB deliver the card to you - but since I was away I asked that they deliver to ****arney FNB. The branch nearest to me is Greenstone, but since that is undergoing renovations, the card that was forced upon me could not be collected there. I was unable to get to ****arney, and FNB took it upon themselves to cancel the card I had. I therefore could not pay for anything using my FNB card. I finally managed to get to ****arney and fetch the unwanted card. The document that was given to me, had a peel off which would reveal the pin code. When I tore it off carefully and on a flat surface as per the instructions, the paper came off with it. I cannot get back to ****arney to get a pin code. Easier to close my account. FNB - have you heard of environmental damage. The piles of extra plastic that are now thrown away because you foist these new cards upon your customers, when the current cards are still working perfectly, and the trees that are destroyed to make the paper upon which the pin code is printed upon, is also not good for the environment. You need to change your supplier of the peel offs. They do not work. I am now sitting with no functioning card. I cannot buy a thing nor draw cash because I do not know the pin of this unwanted card. I work. As in work. Which means that I am at work when FNB is open. Furthermore, there was nothing wrong with the Greenstone branch - once again, your enormous insensitivity to the environment on display.
