FNB does not care
Hi FNB,
This is the last time I will try to make contact with you before logging a complaint with the Ombudsman.
On Monday, I transferred R500 to a recipient via eWallet. The recipient could not withdraw all the funds as there was an error at the ATM (***). I emailed the customer care centre and they confirmed that there was an error. I was told to acquire a new FNB OTP.
The recipient drove to the ATM (which cost fuel and time) for the 2nd time, after acquiring the new pin. He was charged a R11 withdrawal fee and could only withdraw R50. I was not told about any additional fees and quite honestly cannot understand why you are charging us for your error?
Why am I being charged for something that was never my error in the first place? Your ATM and system were faulty! I want the recipient to receive the R50 that's due to him, please also reimburse us for the fuel because we have to drive to the ATM again (for the 3rd time now!!!!). Also, ensure that you reverse any additional fees charged to my account.
I logged 2 complaints on FNB's website and HelloPeter, no one responded. This morning I had to call your service centre (reference: 591 107). If I am not called back by COB today. We are taking matters further with the Ombudsman and you guys can deal with them.
Both the recipient and I will be closing our FNB accounts, I will also be closing my business account with you guys.
This is ridiculous service!
