FNB - Do you even know what customer service means? USELESS.
How the hell does FNB not communicate with their clients about issues affecting transactions on their account??? Where is the due diligence to ensure that transactions are not affected???
Let me break this down for you:
1. No communication was recieved re FICA update or KYC - you claim that an SMS was sent. When there was no response - why not follow up with an email or a phone call? Why not have a notification when logging into internet banking or the app stating that the above needs to be addressed? It CAN NOT be that hard. 2. Taking the above into account - absolutely no attempt was made to rectify this from FNB's side. Instead of being proactive and actually practising some customer service, the situation was left to get to the point that transactions were no longer possible on the account. BUT, even this was not communicated to me. 3. Now, bearing in mind that I had no idea that I could not transact, I then transferred USD to my account. This did not reflect for several days - AGAIN, no communication from FNB to say there is an issue.
4. USD then need to be returned by FNB - The only way I find this out is because I HAD TO CONTACT FNB, and this takes another 7 -10 days!?? What bull****! And I get charged on the transaction! 5. So in this whole process, I am yet to have been contacted by FNB about ANYTHING. The USD that I was transferring was intended for Debit orders to run off my account on Friday 1st December. Thanks to FNB being absolutely inept, these did not go off. So I am being charged for those as well, gathering arrears charges, and have my credit rating being affected - ALL BECAUSE FNB CAN NOT COMMUNICATE. 6. Lets not forget that your useless KYC department claims not to have an international number - so I had to call the Forex line each time, wait on hold, be transferred, and wait on hold again. I have incurred well over R1000 in phone bills because of this as well!
7. My last phone call ended with a promise that a manager was in a meeting, and I would be contacted as soon as she was out. That was on monday.
USELESS.
