FNB disgusting and terrible attitude to clients
Hi not sure how many other customers having the same issue. I been banking with fnb and on the 17 April I recieved a message saying my account is overdrawn. When I queried with fnb they say they had an issue with swipes between 26 Mar and 1 apr. This was a fnb issue now my account is overdrawn and fnb is insisting I make full payment to this overdrawn account. I pay a service fee of R219 a month isn't it the responsibility of the bank to manage mh account. If rhe error was on their side the least they could have done was send me a message warning us the consumer to be vigilant. No communication no assistance. I have been to the bank since Saturday and been given the run around. I even explained we should be given an option of a payment plan seeing that it is not our fault. The bank reversed the bank charges and are giving 2 months free bank fees but does that help. Fnb are holding customers to ransom to make full payment for their mistake no empathy to clients knowing fully well we are struggling with this covid pandemic and just reeling in from a lockdown. Where is the sense of putting the customers first. Been to the bank manager and also regional manager with no solution.
After all of this the attitude and service of staff at the branch is something I don't even want to talk about. What fustrates me is they all think they doing you a favour they seem to get its their jobs.
Just need some assistance as to if the bank can impose these conditions as it is their mistake. Can they not freeze the account until the matter is resolved as I have been declined when I suggested this. Also I have a savings linked to my account and I'm kow told sorry I have to deposit the money in my cheque acc to draw it but if I do that it will be absorbed as my account is overdrawn due to the mess by fnb.
If anyone can advise I will be grateful how I could find a solution.
