FNB Disclosed My Salary to Someone Else

<p>I entered the FNB Northrand Road branch on the 22APR'17 to collect my cards. While there, I requested for the assistant to update my contact details, so that all information on the system reflected my new number, as I would be handing over my old phone (and number) to a junior colleague in the company. This person told me that they had done so.</p> <p> </p> <p>Imagine my horror when I realized today (27MAY'17) that my old number had NOT been removed and in fact was also receiving all of my banking details (my SALARY deposit, HomeLoan debit order, etc, etc, etc).</p> <p> </p> <p>Had I not specifically asked the agent in the bank to check (3 times!) with my wife sitting with me, I would not be this infuriated.</p> <p> </p> <p>Even the call centre agent who I spoke to today said "Oh my G**" when I told her about the level of incompetence of the agent in the bank.</p> <p> </p> <p>I will be seeking legal advise as to what action I can take against FNB due to this HIGHLY SENSITIVE information being disclosed to a third party without my consent!</p>
