FNB DEVICE DEPARTMENT AND FNB INSURE

Qualified for the special offer Iphone 6 Plus device through FNB @ R509 per month (509x24mnths = R12 216), paid for 12months so only owed R6108 another 12months paid up. Last week the device , i thought lucky i insured the device with FNB Insure at R179 per month then increased to R189 still reasonalbe explained due to rand dollar exchange rate.

On completing claim forms after reporting to the police this deal/offere was NOT SO SWEET!!!!!!!!!. Phone insured for R13199 less 10% excess R1319.90 Less early settlement fee R7571 because it was ******, FNB Device or FNB Insure cannot give me the exact same phone that was ****** due to Rand Dollar rate - so i am being paid out R4308.10 - I am livid for the consultant at FNB Device to tell me sorry FNB device cannot replace my phone i had at R509 per month i can take another iphone and pay more or i must go to the istore use the payout sum and they will give me a contract for the phone i had - SO BEWARE ALL YOU ARE TAKING THE SWEET DEAL FROM FNB AND INSURING WITH FNB INSURE (CIB) you will never get a replacement phone but cash less all the penalities because your phone was ******, like all your fault. Thansk FNB for nothing. Before you think of taking any of FNB Device deals do you homework with other providers and insurance companies becausee unfortunately we live in a country where theft is occuring daily and so you do the right thing pay insurance only to be told SORRY WE CANNOT REPLACE YOUR PHONE. So i Lose out I only had 12months to go and owed R6108 and my phone was still in perfect working order, additonal cost of putting on screen guard, proper case all ******. To replace is going to cost me more than the R6108. The cash payout of R4308 will require me to add in an substantial amount to buy a new phone and to take out anohter contract will be more than R509 and back to paying off over 24 months compared to the 12months i had to go, SO I LOOSE ALL THE WAY. DISGUSTED!!!!!!!!!
