FNB deposit dispute

Two weeks ago I used one of their ATMs to deposit funds into my cheque account but mistakenly deposited into an inactive credit card account. I didn't realise this mistake until I received their sms notifications that I had indeed deposited into the wrong account. I immediately went onto their chat platform in the banking app, to have the funds reversed and be diverted into my cheque account. I was given the assurance by their agent named Kedi, that this would be processed and take 3-5 working days to be corrected. It's been two weeks and nothing of the sort has been done. Every single time I've tried to engage with FNB about this, the story keeps changing. Another agent named Thoko, who I called from their Karaglen branch, said the funds had been approved for reversal and would reflect in 12 hours after clearing. This hasn't happened to date. This morning, I again called their credit card desk and spoke to Thuli. She informs me that according to the notes under my profile, I should be told to forward an affidavit and a copy of my deposit slip to prove I made the deposit. All along, no one has told me any of this and why should I now be made to produce proof of the deposit, yet all this time they've been acknowledging receiving the funds??

Two weeks later and I'm still being pushed from pillar to post. This is grossly unfair and the agents at FNB are operating with bold impunity. Nobody bothers to call back, reply to emails or even assist with this dispute. Essentially, FNB expects me to just let the funds disappear and I should ***er and walk away.

Disgusting and shameful actions as displayed by FNB lead me to believe that they have zero intention to reverse the deposit I made.
