FNB ***** DEPARTMENT, POOR HANDLING OF ***** CASE.
Poor feedback and the time frame for results and answers/outcomes much too long. On the 26th of January 2024 at between 21h21 and 21h29 I was ********ly de*****ed by virtue of 21 transactions that consecutively went of my FNB PREMIER CHEQUE ACCOUNT, wiping out all available funds. It was reported immediately and the bank card linked to my account was canceled immediately. Since early Saturday morning up until today the 2nd of February 24 I have been trying to resolve the matter personally and electronically. The case has been moving back and fourth between agents and departments, stating that they are attending to the case. Apparently turnaround time frame is between 7 and 30 days. This is totally unacceptable in the first place. It should never have happened. It shows the bank isn't very concerned about their clients, nor can they guarantee the safety of their funds. Surely their Software Engineers and programmers should have devised a safety firewall or red flag system that would pick up such activity coming from the same merchant or individual in such small time frame. It should'ave put an immediate halt on such transactions, pecu**** and not normal. On you personal message system it shows as pending, which means it should not be debited from one's account. Unfortunately it goes through as the transaction/s take place. This is a huge concern. A lot of same type questions are asked and all the answers are the same - "NO" !!!!!! Also accusing one of committing certain actions is also not fair. Surely due to the current state of affairs in SA, one is and should be vigilant and be on the lookout for all different types of ****s, currently taking place. I'm awake and do have common sense and know what to do and not to do to prevent such *****. I am extremely upset!!
