FNB ***** Department Fails to Act – Case No: ***
It has now been 39 days since I submitted all necessary documents—including an affidavit, police case number (CAS 64/4/2025), proof of payment, and full evidence—to FNB regarding a ***** case (Case No: ***). I am appalled by the lack of communication, negligence, and inaction from the assigned ***** analyst, Sboniso Thabede.
According to FNB’s own internal guidelines, this case should have been escalated after 30 days. That did not happen. The last time Sboniso contacted me was on 24 April, and instead of offering support or updates, he was rude to me for lodging a public complaint on HelloPeter. Since then—complete silence.
Today (20 May), I called FNB’s ***** line. The agent confirmed that Sboniso should have contacted me today. He has once again failed to do so. This confirms what I’ve suspected for weeks: he is not working on this case.
FNB’s delay and failure to follow up with the implicated bank (Standard Bank) have wasted critical time. Due to this inaction, the likelihood of recovering my money is now slim to none. I hold FNB accountable for this preventable outcome. Victims of ***** deserve urgent, compassionate assistance—not radio silence and negligence from the very department meant to help.
This is not acceptable. I demand escalation and accountability.
