FNB: Defintely Not Customer Orientated

I bought clothing items at a store in Accra, Ghana whilst on a business trip in February 2015. I returned both items after realising I had bought the wrong sizes.I was informed that I cannot be refunded the R1300 because I used a Visa card. They informed me to contact my bank to do a cancellation/reversal.
Unfortunately, during my travels I misplaced the proof of purchase and confirmation stamp that the goods were returned. My premier banker referred me to the Disputes Dept. I did not get any assistance from them and subsequently lodged a complaint on the FNB website. I was soon contacted by the Disputes Dept who informed that they cannot do a reversal/cancellation unless I get proof from the clothing store that the goods were returned.
And this is my problem! They could not refund me at the time now Im inconvenienced. Why should I get confirmation from a clothing store in Ghana (who is never going to respond to my requests for such confirmation)? Why cant FNB do the reversal/cancellation if the clothing store does not object within a specific period? Why is FNB acting in the best interest of the store rather than its customers? Its 4 months later. No reply from store. No help from FNB
