FNB decreases Credit Card limit without consent

FNB decreased my credit card limit to less than half of what I owe. Now they want to deduct the difference which I cannot afford.
I called on Monday and they told me I qualified for a campaign to help SA citizens with debt and decrease many peoples credit limit. I didn't authorise my credit card limit to be dropped and opt to pay the full remaining balance in one go. The person I called also said someone will call me back regarding my complaint and I haven't heard anything yet.
When I try to increase my credit card limit to what it was, they want to update my account and send me a new card, which I don't want and they automatically increase my credit limit to this huge amount which I'm not comfortable with.
Please someone call me and sort this out, I cannot afford the impending deduction coming my way.
