FNB decided I'm done paying my accounts for the rest of the year.

Last week Friday (23/07/2021) I realized what was going on. FNB decided I can no longer pay my international accounts and has restricted / blocked my card from being used through any "no-card present" payment gateways such as Skrill or Paypal (even though they have massive adverts inside the banks to push Paypal signups and how "easy" it is to setup with your FNB account).

I phoned their support on Friday, after speaking to 5 or 6 different people, none of them could tell me how to fix my issue, eventually I managed to figure out the problem (they restricted my card for international payments). The last person I spoke to on Friday told me they sent an email to the FNB Forex team and they will help me / contact me on Monday.

Monday comes, nothing. I follow up and no one knows anything. Of course... Eventually I get some forms to fill in to increase my international limit. I jump through the hoops to be able to use my own money how I see fit. Another 2 days go by and nothing.

Wednesday (28/07/2021) I decided to just go into the nearest FNB branch. After the support agent was on the phone with the FNB forex team for over an hour she was eventually put on hold, holding for another 30min, the phone was handed to me and I had to explain my problem. I had to fill out the forms they want again and a day later they respond via email basically just saying "we're not increasing your limit".

Basically just telling me, ***** you, you can't spend your own money anymore and ***** your accounts and payments that you need to make.

I'm beyond shocked, I always vouched for FNB, but this left an incredibly sour taste in my mouth.

If you have bills to pay via paypal or skrill, make sure to choose a different bank.

Still no solution and no one contacting me to tell me when it will be resolved. Pathetic customer service.
