FNB Debt Review Center: Third Rant (This is getting ridiculous)

Hi there!

Following from my previous rants, it seems that I am not yet done with FNB's Debt Review Centre. The mysterious arrears amount on my home loan has been squashed (rather mysteriously disappeared), thanks FNB! My Debt Clearance Certificate (Form 19) was issued and my Application for debt review was subsequently withdrawn.

I was later contacted by the Debt Review Center directly and told that my FNB Profile had been updated to reflect that I was no longer participating in the Debt Review Process, this was on the 14th of February 2020.

Today I decided to contact the FNB Home Loans Department to try and ascertain what amount my home loan would be since I would be paying it myself from next month onward and not through the NPDA. To that effect I sent the following letter. Please see below:

Good day,

I was just on the phone with your Home-loans department in a bid to find out exactly what my repayment will be on my Home Loan (Account number ****************x) going forward seeing as my FNB Profile was supposedly updated to reflect that I am no longer participating in debt review?

To that end I was directed back to you, apparently I am still flagged as being under debt review, which puts me in a precarious position. I need to sort out exactly how much my Bond repayment is going to be before debit orders etc are loaded on your end.

According to my Online banking Detailed Balance on my Home Loan, my current monthly repayment amount is R 6,414.11 @ 9.15% interest rate (adjusted from 9.40% before 17 January 2020). This is strange as my last Statement dated 7 December 2019 reflected a total repayment amount of R 5,913.25 @ 9.40% interest? I was however paying R 6,510.60 via the NPDA at the time, so lets assume R 6,510.60 @ 9.40% interest.

Could someone please explain to me how R 6,414.11 @ 9.15% interest is barely less than R 5,913.25 (R 6,510.60) @ 9.40% interest in December? My last payment (February 1st 2020) is also up to R 6,623.90 I see after the rate decrease??? I then noted 2 additional rate changes on my account since 17 January 2020, the most recent was on the 15th of February? What amount will be loaded via debit order on the 1st of March?

May I please ask for your speedy reply to this email as this is very urgent.

Thank you

If someone from FNB could provide me with some answers as to why the amounts on my home loan seem so erratic that would be a real help, are my current repayment amount and interest rate even correct? also why I still flagged as being under debt review? I expected to be dealing with the Home Loans Department directly by now.

Now, you might say that I am getting ahead of myself, but FNB will be starting to load debit orders early next week. I cannot sit idly by whilst I am ignored by these people like so many times in the past. This is my third review about this department, could anyone blame me for wanting some results and closure.

Thanks for listening
