FNB Debt Protection Plans are a ****

I was retrenched at the end of April 2020, I contacted FNB regarding this on the 6th of April, I asked about claiming from my Personal loan and Credit card debt protection plans.

A month later I had not received any word from them so I sent follow up emails regarding my claims on the 7th of May, to which the following was the response "Good day , Thank you for your email.

Kindly be advised that your query has been referred to our Claims department for urgent assistance.

Should you require further information please do not hesitate to contact Claims department on ***.

and on the 14th "Good day,

Thank you for your e-mail.

The matter was escalated to the Claims department and feedback will be provided to you directly from them.

Yesterday I got debited, I cannot reverse the debit due to the debimandate. I have been trying to get a hold of the fnb claims department to no avail, my phone calls get answered but the employees are going about their lives, playing with their kids, listening to music and watching tv whilst I am screaming no ending 'hellos' from the other side of the line. I have a long stream of emails, spoken to over 7 consultants via email but everyone seems to be referring my claim to the same department they represent.

I am extremely disappointed in their service considering that I have been paying for this protection, to give myself breathing room in case of a life-changing occurrence as is my retrenchment. But I am currently still not employed and with no way to continue living as FNB has **********ly debited money that is not my salary and with an overdue claim from my account.
