Fnb Debt Protection Insurance is terrible
Debt Protection Insurance
I submitted a claim at the beginning of May 2020.
As of the 1 May I was put on unpaid leave for 3 months due to covid 19. I handed in all documents requested to submit the claim.
I have received calls from different agents and the last call I received, the agent told me that the claim was declined because I'm still receiving an income.
I therefore explained that in April I received 50% of my salary and the company I work for was claiming the other 50% via UIF Covid-ters relief. That 50% was paid to me in May. So the payment I received from the company I work for was not a salary payment for May it was the 50% owing to me for April salary.
Till date. I have not received feedback on my claim.
And what I don't understand is that when I first app**** for FNB covid relief before I realized I had debt protection lifer cover. The same document were required. I was asked the same questions via the fnb app. So how is it that I was approved for covid relief but I cannot get an answer for a debt Protection claim. Which I pay a monthly subscription for.
I need answers.
The service I'm getting regarding this claim is terrible and highly disappointing.
