FNB debited Money from my account before getting paid.

I took a Taxify to Northgate shopping center earlier today to go and buy clothes for my Two-month-old daughter and also go to Pnp to buy groceries. to my surprise, as I was about to check out at the store my card declined.

I quickly logged on the FNB App to verify funds only to find out Debit orders went off a day before a get paid. This is without my consent. I quickly rushed to the FNB branch to find out why they debited my account a day before I get paid. the Sales consultant was rude to me and told me that I have to call the call center to verify this as no one in the branch can assist. I requested to speak to a Manager. a gentleman by the name of Yonela Mafutha took me to his office I've explained my frustrations that I left the house with the intension to do the shopping for my daughter and all of a sudden I have insufficient funds in my account. he told me there's nothing he can do, He couldn't explain the reason why FNB debited a day before the agreed dates. I asked him, what should I do now because I need to Taxify back home and my account is in arrears. i had to call friends to arrange transport to pick me up, they couldn't come to pick me up fearing breaking lockdown regulations. I had to contact my partner to organize uber for me. we used the last hard cash we had to pay for the Uber trip. i couldn't buy diapers for my daughter because of their incompetence. as a loyal member for 7 years this is the treatment I got from this institution. my family and i decided to switch banks as we will not tolerate this type of treatment. its so inhumane of you FNB. I will tell everyone i know to stop banking with FNB as they lack compassion. the manager couldn't even organize transport for me to get home. this was the most horrific day of my life, FNB has ruined it for me and my family.

You reply privately Huh. No need to bother escalating to your complaints department. I have moved to another bank, they are arranging to switch my debit orders and have alerted payroll to redirect my salary to another bank. My friends and family complained about the same thing. You cant tell me a branch Manager cannot overwrite debit orders that went off days before the agreed debit order date, worse of all is that I did not receive any notification of these debit orders. Your employees at Northgate shopping centre branch does not know what an adhoc debit order is or how to explain a debit order mag tape run to a client. Poor service FNB I'm disappointed.
