The beginning of April I went to FNB Zevenwacht mall with the paperwork I got from the court to close my deceased mother account. Between the bank and the court it took years to finally get closure. But my hope was short lived. The bank told me the money would be transferred in 30 working days, it was April we’re in June now and nothing. They forced me to open another account into which the money would be transferred which I could then close as soon as I moved the money into my savings account. The new account that I didn’t want is now carrying bank costs because FNB in not complying with the letter from the court and closing my mothers account. I am losing money due to bank charges on both my new account and my mother’s account. So to fix it I will again have to go to the bank and wait in a queue forever probably just to get told they will try fix it which probably won’t happen.
