FNB Customer Service is horrific

My CC has been blocked for international use when I went to the USA 8 weeks ago without informing me (well, I got a sms 4 weeks later). I am overseas for the remainder of this year and have been trying to unblock my CC for the past 6 weeks without success. I've queued in the phone queue for many hours until I finally spoke to someone who gave me an email address. I mailed this address with all necessary information and haven't gotten feedback from anyone ever since. My mails get forwarded to different people. I also mailed Manager Zenda Grobler and Head of FX Client Service Shirene Boola who are supposed to oversee this department but still nothing. It is extremely frustrating dealing with FNBs customer service and I don't have any access to my own money which makes me very upset and puts me in a predicament. FNBs customer service is really extremely bad, that's not how you treat / keep your customers. Simply Unacceptable!

After 6 weeks and now I am again forced to call a hotline which I will never reach and which will cost me a fortune to call from overseas as I'm in the queue for more than 50 min at a time. I can't believe it. You have all my data, you have my complaints, why can't someone just solve this issue that you caused me once and for all. 6 weeks to re-authorize my credit card for overseas use again, a credit card that you blocked without asking me. 6 weeks without access to my money while being overseas. If I would be in South Africa at the moment, I would have closed my account with you weeks ago and would have taken my money to a capable bank.

"Regarding your complaint on international usage on FNB credit card. We have unblocked your international usage and you should be able to transact in a different currency.

In terms of your card usage in a different country, you will need to contact our authorizations department on ********** 888 and request for card usage in the country you are currently in. Should you not request this, you will not be able to utilize the credit card in a different country."
