FNB credit insurance does not want to pay even though I took out the cover!!!!

I took out a credit insurance with FNB and for some reason they refuse to cover me during this time as I'm currently not working and on unpaid leave! I have sent an email countless time to FNB life and still nothing! I pay every month for this benefit but for some reason I'm expected to used the covid 19 relief fund as if I haven't been paying for insurance! Since May I have not received income from my employer and have only been getting uif TERS of which it is not even half of my salary and from the little that I have been getting FNB still debit my account for a full payment amount EVEN THOUGH I TOOK OUT CREDIT CARD COVER! There is even an article under business tech (1 April 2020) confirming that FNB will be paying out of one has credit insurance.

I have been sending emails to *** of which the last one was on the 13 June and still no response or acknowledgement from her. FNB staff do not care. On top of that I have to use my own money to call and follow up of which one is on hold and at times my airtime would run out.

What is the point of having insurance if one is not covered???? Because even if one is retrenched they still get uif, does that then mean FNB product are misleading because retrenchment is covered under credit insurance!!!

This is extremely sad that we are being **********!!!! I did not even get a phone call to explain my application being rejected if it was and also based on what reasons??? I bank with them, surely they can SEE that I have not received any payment from company!!!!!!! This needs to be taken to the Ombudsman for Banking Services!!!
