FNB Credit Card Upgrade Issues

Today i tried to increase my limit on my credit card. It was meant to be convenient. It brought up a window asking me if i wanted to increase my limit and upgrade my card. I did not. I selected the middle option - increase limit only. I went through the quick application and got a reply almost immediately but along with this convenient reply i got a headache too. Without consent on my behalf the system upgraded my credit card too. I did not give consent to this. I gave consent to a limit increase only.

I then contacted FNB. No one could help. I phoned card applications who sent me to online queries who sent me to card sales who sent me back to card applications. No one can help. No one can tell me where the error came in.

I have been with FNB for many years this is the first year that i am truly unhappy with its service. This is not the first time this year i have had issues with my credit card.

I do not want a new credit card, i want my old credit card, the gold one and i would like to apply for a credit increase. That is all, but now i have to cancel my premier account which i didn't want which means my gold card is cancelled which means i have to find time to go into the branch and collect a new credit card that i did not even want. I would like some answers from FNB.

Regards
