FNB Credit Card *****
I recently became a victim of credit card ***** where several transactions were made on my card without my consent. These transactions (4 which I am aware of) where made in short succession on Uber Eats totaling R6 757 on Sunday 24 April 2022 between 17:50-17:57. I was notified by SMS that these amounts have been reserved for purchase using my FNB credit card. Highly concerned, I immediately went on online banking to stop my card and phoned FNB to report this. A case (ref Rb***) was logged and apparently someone would be assigned to investigate this. I have not received any contact from FNB yet.
It is tremendously concerning that someone can transact on my account without authentication.
Why do you allow this FNB? Surely you must have algorithms and measures in place to prevent suspicious transacting activities such as this?
For the record; I have never used Uber Eats before (they don't even deliver at my house, it is out of their range). I hope to receive your feedback and assistance to resolve my issue and refund my money.
