FNB Credit Card: Debt protection

I agreed to debt protection on my Gold credit card account in 2011. I subsequently upgraded to Platinum and was charged for the debt protection on my card in 2015 and 2016. I feel that an agreement that was made in 2011 with a different card and very different limits on my card can't possible apply now. Spending more than R5000 on my credit card in 2011 and 2015/2016 is a completely different story. I now have a Platinum Credit card account, work for a different company with a big difference in salary etc. As a loyal customer of FNB I am really disappointed. How can something like debt protection just automatically be carried over without FNB making me aware of it? How is this client centric?

Below are the transactions I am able to track. Another thing is that these amounts are deducted from my credit card without any notification; it only appears on your history. The ones I can find adds up to R1068.70 and I feel that that amount could have been paid off on my credit card rather than be deducted for something I never asked for on my Platinum card.
