FNB Credit Card Cancellation - No Resolution

I will never use FNB ever again. After being convinced to take an FNB Gold Credit card 3 years ago. I eventually paid it in full and decided to cancel the card. I started the process on the 8th January 2019 whereby I phoned in and asked what was needed in order for me to cancel and the consultant sent me a cancellation form and told me to use the amount reflecting on my latest statement dated 7th January 2019. I paid over the exact amount this reflected 3 days later showing a credit of R270 odd. I submitted the completed cancellation form with proof of bank details for the credit owing that FNB would have to pay me back on 14th January 2019. I followed up 3 days later and was told that I would need to wait 7 - 14 working days. I then asked the consultant if my debit order would go off and she said NO it wouldn't as the cancellation process had begun on the system. I phoned in again on Friday 1 February 2019 as a debit order had gone off even though (recorded consultant) told me that the debit order would not go off. I was not happy and spoke to Amanda (Credit Card Department) who was unable to assist me as she seemed grumpy and new to the position, I asked her to put me through to a manager as it needed to be escalated after waiting for 15 minutes on hold Kevin (Credit Card Department) answered the phone and asked me to give all the details to Amanda and that he would resolve it and have some one contact me on the Monday but needed my debit order to reflect (reflected Saturday) first. I phoned in again on Tuesday and after the call ending on your side FNB twice I decided to lay a complaint. I spoke with a lovely lady Zonolo who assisted me and even sent me a reference number. She told me it would be resolved within 36 hours. It has now been more than 36 hours with no resolution. I want my card cancelled and my credit paid back to me. If this continues past the 14th January 2019 I am taking this to the ombudsman.
