FNB Credit Card application 45 days and still not recieved

I have moved from my previous bank to FNB private and since day one they have dissapointed me. Not even to mention the previous incidents just to get my cheque card to work..... but the biggest for me was to obtain a credit card from them. It has been 45 days and still no credit card in hand!!

Short history of events: On 08 July I emailed my private banker Ricardo for credit card application..... On 10 July he said it was declined. In his words "After tremendous effort, exploring all options" it was declined. (Keep in mind I have just financed a vehicle for over 300 000 that same week without any hiccups or decliened applications)

He said the credit bureau showed missed payments on account of a year ago! I asked him again to escalate it with supporting documents of over 7 months history supp****. After many many emails the credit card department said they could not see my salary for a certain month....I use 2 accounts, they where just to damn lazy to go through all the paper work properly. After more numurous unnecessary emails....on 21 Aug my card was approved!

I told my banker (Mr Ricardo) that I am flying on 26 Aug and need the card for car rental. He said that he will prioritize the delivery and I WILL have my card. Later that day I recieved an email that someone will contact me that day for delivery.

Guess what...... its now 28 Aug. No one ever contacted me!! I am already travelling and have issues to book rental cars without credit card! I emailed Ricardo my banker yesterday to hear what happened and still no reply from him.

I am so p@ssed off with the level of service!! Especially after an average of R1200 per month bank charges. I want a new private banker (that follows up with the clients) to be appointed to me urgently. No more dealings will be done with Mr Ricardo Samuels. And on my return I will still decide if I should just close the account and move to better banking elsewhere.
