FNB CPP Insurance

I have a personal loan with FNB that im paying monthly. The Loan cane with CPP insurance which i had no issues with. The insurance covers the whole amount that i borrowed when taking this loan. Now my loan is way less than the insurance cover. Why am i still insured for the amount i initially borrowed not the loan balance? because that is what we covering
