FNB COVID-19 relief - is COVID-19 abuse

The proposed COVID-19 relief, is not actual relief, but rather the BANK is abusing this situation to force customers to take out an additional loan to be repaid over 3 years following the lockdown (on top of your existing repayment). This would mean an additional financial strain on customers for 3 years following the lockdown. Therefore, in my opinion, this is not a payment relief, but rather a COVID-19 loan.

Relief in my opinion, would be to extend a customers term by 3 months, and give them payment relief for the next three months. Thereby the bank would still benefiting from interest on outstanding balances for an additional three months, instead of abusing the pandemic to force customers to take on an additional loan.
