FNB Continued Harrassment

My now CLOSED business, Hybridity Pty Ltd was impacted heavily by the COVID-19 pandemic. We were an events business and being "non-essential" event were forced to cease for the better part of two years. We struggled through it but eventually I had to close the business down.

When we closed in 2022, I called FNB to close my business banking account. I sat on the phone with a consultant while I topped up the account with my personal funds so that we could clear the overdraft off before closing it. This was confirmed by the consultant and the account no longer appeard on my banking profile. A few months later the lawyers began to call threatening me (as they do). I again, called FNB and demanded that I be given the call recordings to PROVE that I closed the account. Bare in mind that the account was in arrears because of BANK FEE's. No overdraft, credit card etc. After I requested the call recordings, I never heard back and took this as a sign that they had acknowledged the ridiculousness of this harrassment and closed my case off for good.

I am now receiving the same threatening calls from lawyers on behalf of FNB claiming that I owe them money. I want to be clear that this is harrassment. I closed my account with the FNB consultant - the burden of proof is on FNB to prove that I didn't close it by going back to their call recordings and listening the calls.

I am now being forced to lodge complaints with NFOSA.
