FNB Connect *****ing Money
This has been going on for a while now. Several amount have been debited off my account from FNB connect despite having a lock on my sim that prevents this. Here's the events that have transpired and at the end I'll share something I posted on my Facebook on January 17th which reveals they do not care about *****ing customers' money.
1. In December I call FNB and the rep says they'll look into the debits and let me know. 2. January arrives and I hadn't received a response. After seeing another debit on my account I call them. They say, " O the rep made a comment that the amount was warranted as it was out of bundle rates. Hello, I have a lock". 3. I tell them my situation, and then finally they agree to refund m R11,72. 4. However, I call a few days later and there are still outstanding amounts they've debited. I;m told that one is for an international call (fair enough). Then I'm told something interesting by the rep: "Several people have called about out of bundle rates and being charged when they shouldn't be for October. There was a glitch in FNB systems and they're refunding those people who call in"
Hang on. You're waiting for people to call in? You've taken there money, and are hoping some won't call so you can pocket a couple of rand per person, which when spread out of thousands of people can easily go into the Hundreds of thousands of dollars? Sounds like ****** theft to me, especially after you've acknowledged a system flaw.
And now, we're back to today - more amount coming off on my account, month-to-month, which I disputed online and then I receive an email telling me that If I don't pay them my SIM will be soft locked? Seriously? The cheek.
I've called you guys far too many times, and wasted my time with your **** service. Are you going to reimburse for my time? Are you going to re-imburse my money? More importantly HAVE YOU reimbursed others who are affected by YOUR mistakes?
O and here's the Facebook comment I posted, folllowing on from a conversation I had with that call rep who mentioned the system glitch:
"Does anyone know if you can get access to conversations recorded with banks reps? And by access, I mean actually getting the recording and being able to keep it. I just had a very enlightening conversation with a representative telling me that FNB had a system glitch and many customers were charged out of bundle rates in October 2017 on their FNB SIM. And here's the interesting part, knowing that, they only refunded me the money for that month, after I queried it. I can only imagine how many other people may not have queried it. Isn't that theft? Isn't that *******? Anyways I requested they send the recording to the branch. Apparently, I can't have it sent to me because it's business rules. I want to know what my rights are here so any advice would be appreciated."
You guys need to pull up your socks and stop *****ing peoples money.
