FNB Connect Service Sucks
Last week Thursday, 28 March 2019, I app**** for a mobile device, SIM Card and requested that my number be ported to FNB Connect. All went well, a consultant called me on my mobile number to confirm the delivery address, she even took me through the delivery process, boy was I excited. Friday (29 March 2019) afternoon, around 15h24, a driver from Ram came to our offices in Parktown with a small plastic, what a bubble buster! He requested the copy of my ID, proof of residence and signature, at first I refused to sign because I was expecting a big package, he told me I shouldn't worry because he will be back on Monday with my phone, he went on to explain that they send the sim cars first and the mobile phone after, I tried to call the consultant to confirm what the driver was saying but there was no answer. later in the evening, I started receiving congratulatory messages on my order and that their gurus will soon be in touch with me to help me set up my new device, I got really worried and sent them a message to tell them that I didn't get the device, don't know if they got the message because there was no response and the messages kept coming, my number was successfully ported and boom, NO SERVICE. I can't call anyone or receive calls or messages. My Vodacom data 958mb, airtime, all gone. Monday morning, 1st April 2019, I wait for a call or delivery, nothing happened. I then called FNB Connect and guess what, only then I was told the device was not approved but nobody cared to tell me that, all the emails and text messages I got, congratulated me on my new order. I spoke to the consultant and told him I wanted them to come collect their SIM Card and cancel that misleading order, he told me to go to the nearest branch and they will assist me, I went, sat in the queue for over an hour only to be told I cannot be assisted at branch level. they called FNB Connect and I was told that it was going to take 48hours before I could be ported out/back to Vodacom. Today, 2nd April 2019, I have been trying to get hold of them since 8am, they keep cutting me off or transferring me from one department to another. I am convinced, none of those consultants know what they are doing. I am so upset right now and all I want is my Vodacom service back, they can come and collect their stupid SIM Card, oh and they even had the nerve to charge me for the delivery! What a service...
