FNB Connect - Poor service and lack of transparency!

I signed up for unlimited voice package with FNB Connect and my number was ported from Vodacom to FNB on the same day. However, when I attempted my first telephone call the next morning I was informed that I had no airtime. I phoned FNB connect and was then advised that it takes up to three days to be switched from prepaid to the unlimited contract given that they still need to do a credit scoring and only if I am approved, I will be switched. They NEVER informed me of this when I app**** for the contract, in fact, the application on the FNB website stated APPROVED. I would never have moved from Vodacom and ported my number if I was informed that I have not yet been approved. So, I am now on FNB prepaid, still awaiting outcome.

Besides this, I was informed that I need to buy prepaid airtime until such time that they switch me over to the contract (if ever) and they cannot give me an indication on the time it will take to complete this process. Should I then buy Rx of airtime for this interim period and they decide to switch me, I will loose whatever prepaid airtime I still have in balance. How is this acceptable?

My question therefore, should FNB not have informed me that there is an additional approval process despite having been informed by the FNB branch Rosebank and on the web-application that I was approved. Should FNB not have fully approved the application PRIOR to letting customers port their cellphone numbers to the FNB platform. And lastely, if FNB was transparent with their approval processes and not deviously tried to ***** customers from other networks with half-baked promises, surely non-suspecting customers would not loose the monies they paid to buy prepaid airtime due to compensate for FNB's incompetence.

What happens to the airtime that these customers forfeited? Does FNB then on-sell it again to other customers? Surely you cannot resell products that have already been bought?

Should FNB Connect not also comply with banking legislation e.g. FAIS, treating customers fairly and the code of banking practise?
