FNB Connect - pathetic service from FNB

I decided to order an FNB connect SIM card. The process was very simple online. I was called early in the week to let me know that the package will be delivered on Friday (14/08/2020) between 09:00 and 17:00, or any business day that follows, and that i would receive an SMS to let me know on the day of delivery.

As such, I planned a meeting for Thursday 13/08. While in my meeting, i received an SMS saying my product is out for delivery. By the end of the day, I received a message saying that delivery failed and that I may be liable for delivery charges - I never received any call to let my know the package was at the premises. I called to dispute this today Friday 14/08 and explained this to FNB. They said it would be delivered today.

The SMS specifically told me to "have your original ID document available for the driver". The driver arrived today and said that he can't give me the package unless i give him a copy of my ID. I explained to him that I have no copy, only the original as per instructions. He said that he can't give me my package without the copy of my ID, and he left.

I strongly advise potential customers away from FNB connect, rather go to a traditional service provider better equipped to process your order. You would think this process will be easier with your bank that has all your details already. Sadly, this is not the case.

Edit: I called FNB regarding this issue again today. I was promised a call before 5pm to resolve this. I received no such call.
