FNB CONNECT PATHETIC SERVICE
FNB Connect ***gybacks on Cell C - I never knew this until the heavy load shedding in December 2022.
I've been in contact with FNB Connect since 13 December 2022. The cell phone tower that services my area was damaged during that time because I lost network connection after that. I can only make or receive phone calls if I drive up the hill away from my house or to my nearest town 8km away, but no connection inside my house.
When I try to make a phone call to a landline, my phone would give me a "not connected to network" message. I can also not receive phone calls from landlines in my house anymore.
Not only do I not have a network connection, they send me an SMS message EVERY HOUR ON THE HOUR 24/7 saying “No service Selected Network (FNB) not available”. So my phone is searching for a network connection 24/7 and drains my phone battery before the day ends.
So, on 5 January 2023 I went to Vodacom and ask for them to port my number from FNB Connect to Vodacom. Not only did they decline to port my number, they only sent this message the following day 6 January 2023 at 1:41pm. A procedure that normally takes an hour max.
I emailed FNB Connect again, and asked them why they've declined my request to have my number ported to Vodacom, to which I haven't received an answer as of today 9 January 2023.
I have no idea how or who to remedy this situation. Any help would be appreciated.
