FNB Connect NOT CONNECTING - Potential clients should read before joining FNB
So, this time it's FNB Connect that goes wonky. Coincidence or Intentional? I presume that FNB is wistful longing to besmirch the last of my existing FNB products. In the past, FNB managed to búgger up my Personal Cheque Account, my Investment Account, my Banking Fees, my FNB App, my Credit Card Account, my TWO Vehicle Finance Accounts, my Business Account, my Business Credit Card Account, my Debit Orders, my Savings Account, my TWO Home Loan Accounts, my eBucks, my Overdraft Facility etc., etc., etc. (Verbal & Written Apologies received for these and other blúnders not yet mentioned.)
Yet, somehow, my FNB Connect SIM survived the onslaught of FNB bugs, covert flaws, surreptitious defects, malicious malfunctions, planned mishaps, scheduled glitches, orchestrated mistakes and the ever popular System Errors that FNB has at its disposal to order to frustrate, thwart, agitate and disappoint their clients. Consistently apologizing to me seems to be another fami**** Trait of FNB, just how many apologies should I be forced to accept due to FNB's neglect and incompetence.
Of course, it goes without saying: FNB needs to act like a delinquent hoodlúm in order to achieve Maximum Turmoil and Injury to clients in order to remain Relevant.
Well, well, FNB, you have my undivided attention now! Congratulations, you have succeeded in botching E V E R Y single FNB product I've had, and even products that I neither requested nor authorized - my wrongful death (declared deceased by FNB) is definitely memorable.
I have a FNB Connect SIM, I top it up religiously twice per month. I made two phone calls earlier today. It suddenly stopped working. After trying 4 more times, I decided to report it to FNB. I was advised it might be because of a ******ulent SIM-Swop. Dear FNB, before resorting to using duplicitous excuses or apologies, know this: the two phone calls that went through were recorded on BOTH phones. As with everything FNB-related, I keep records, copies, photos, screenshots, video footage and in this particular case recordings. I therefore have PROOF that the two phone calls were made since it activated the recordings on both mobile units. The FNB Helpline gentleman who tried to assist me was uncertain if it was definitely due to a SIM-Swop, therefore he advised that I block the number & MY SIM, I'm not quite certain how blocking my existing FNB-Connect SIM (as opposed to blocking the bógus SIM) is supposed to alleviate the issue (surely it's the ***** SIM that should be blocked!)... but ... that's what he decided would be the best solution.
So, FNB, you need to investigate why my FNB Connect SIM was suddenly no longer active on the network (even before the FNB gentleman blocked it.) Secondly, I want to know how it's possible to do a SIM-Swop without a verifiable ID and proof of residence. I know with certainly (and have proof) that there was a balance of R74.72 before the two phone calls (BOTH phone calls are recorded on BOTH mobile phones). The subsequent third & fourth calls rang, but the phone with the FNB Connect SIM did not ring (recordings on the phone from which the call was made). The fifth and sixth times I tried to call the phone with the FNB connect SIM, an automated voice said, "The subscriber you have dialed is not available right now". (There are of course recordings of those attempts as well.) Trying to call FROM the phone with the FNB Connect SIM resulted in an automated voice recording stating that the SIM is not on the network. I then phoned FNB and spoke to the gentleman who informed me that somebody might have done a SIM-Swop on my number.
*** After FNB concludes its investigation, I will require the following: 1. I want my FNB Connect SIM number to remain the same as before this temporary block. 2. I want the money already allocated to MY FNB-issued SIM to be 100 Percent accurate (R74.72 minus the two phone calls which were less than a minute each). 3. I want a full explanation as to what transpired. 4. I want an ORIGINAL apology to add to the ever growing list of FNB excuses.
It is utterly unconscionable that clients are compelled to accept such low standards of service from any financial institute. FNB's ongoing cycle of continuous errors is both Annoying and Offensive. What is more terrifying is that FNB is supposedly one of the foremost ranked financial institutes in the world. In actuality, FNB is an unremarkable amalgamation of never-ending blúnders; and FNB's portrayal Internationally (and Nationally) is simply a façade that doesn't resemble reality.
Reference number to temporarily block my FNB-Issued SIM has been added below under the title "Additional information".
