FNB CONNECT IS NOT UNLIMITED

I had previously been on pay as you go with Vodacom as there is no contract and no one to rip you off and have to fight for what was not brought to your attention. FNB has on previous occasions telephoned and also sent adverti*****ts to myself with regards to their FNB connect and call packages. Last year June 2020 I went to the Nicol Way branch and signed up on FNB unlimited calls special for R249 per month. Also sounded too good to be true. And yes it was as in December 2020 I was now debited R310 per month. When I phoned to complain, informing what was supposed to be a manager, that I did not sign up for R310 per month, but the R249 per month, I was told there was a special and now it has ended and it is R310 per month. No assistance or further explanation provided.

Now today 8 March 2021 I get an sms saying I am reaching the fair usage policy. I have phoned FNB who are disinterested in assisting and I requested to speak to a manager only to hold on for 10 minutes and get cut off. I was told by the lady that if you make calls more than 2000 minutes every month consecutively for 3 months they suspend your account.

Firstly there is no way I have made that many calls in minutes the last two months and even if I had, this was not brought to my attention when I personally attended at FNB to take out this account.

I have been a client of FNB from day one and this is how you treat your clients! Now you want to suspend my FNB connect SIM ?

I am considering moving banks to someone who respects their clients, especially client relations.

I am glad I did not take out a contract package with a phone hoping you were different cause you are just as bad as your counter parts.
