FNB CONNECT IS DESTROYING FNB'S GOOD NAME

I've never experienced such poor service before

In summary: 1) The reception is very poor (people always ask me why my phone is off) 2) Due to the poor reception, I requested that my Postpaid contract be converted to a prepaid contract ( I did this one month in advance, as I was advised by the call centre)....come the first of May...i was not converted to prepaid....a day and a few calls later, I was eventually migrated to prepaid.......but my preaid account was softlocked - meaning I was unable to dial out (why would you softlock a prepaid number!!!!!!!). Four days and endless call centre calls later, the number was eventually unlocked.....but still my troubles continue. 3.) When Vodacom tries to port the number, they claim that FNB has not released the number ( Vodacom has tried over 8 times to port) 4.) I have called the call centre more than 3 times, requesting that they release my number......every time I call in, they tell me the turn around time is 24-48 hours, and that the matter has been escalated.....

I have had it with FNB Mobile.

Moreover, when you log a complaint they don't reply, so let's see how quickly they respond to a hellopeter complaint!!!!!

I've been banking with FNB for 10 years, and FNB connect is tarnishing FNB's reputation!!!!

A disgruntled patron

Reviewer Update
An update on FNB Mobiles appalling service. The company has no regard for its clients or their well-being. I first logged a complaint on the 1st of May....and still my issue hasn't been resolved. FNB Mobile refuses to release my number for porting to another network....which constitutes theft of my property..... Good people... Please don't waste your time with FNB Mobile...the distress you will suffer is not worth it. I don't know what to do anymore... Hello Peter please help me.... I'm spending a small fortune on prepaid airtime because FNB refuses to release my number. I cannot even begin to count the number of violations that this unacceptable conduct has in terms of the consumer protection Act or the right to fair competition, this conduct is absolutely anti-competitive because they are basically holding my number hostage and preventing me from joining another network . All I want to do is port my number!!!!!! As a last resort I will have to hand the matter over to my attorneys. GOOD PEOPLE... DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID... STAY AWAY FROM FNB... They DONT WANT TO HELP YOU.
