FNB CONNECT is absolutely the worst... (I love the bank tho, and am a loyal customer)

I am FED UP with FNB connect. I am a loyal FNB customer and have always been very appreciative of the products and services that I have with FNB as a bank. But FNB connect is driving me crazy!

I have so far been able to port all of my fnb connect numbers except for one. This was to be done from fnb connect to cell c. A couple of days after requesting the port the Cell c representative contacts me to inform me that according to FNB because of outstanding monies that I owe, this number cannot be ported. LET ME MAKE IT ABSOLUTELY CLEAR, I DO NOT OWE ANY MONIES ON THIS SIM, this was a free allocation that will be concluded by the end of this month.

And any way, should I still owe something on this account but be current, I would like to refer to the number portability regulations as gazetted on the 1st October 2018:

Schedule A Section 5(4) "A donor operator shall not reject a request to port a number or number block for a post pay account as a result of penalties incurred for an early termination of a contract, nor may the donor delay the port until the monies are collected."

So even if this is a post pay sim according to FNB connect the port may still not be refused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would please like FNB connect to provide me the proof that I owe money on this sim account that is in arrears, as that is the only time the port may be refused because of money owed, otherwise I would like a apology.

This was quite an embarrassment for me to be told by a company that I would like to do business with that I "OWE MONEY" when that is in fact not the truth.

And by the way, the last R269, that I do owe on the HANDSET will be deducted as normal on the 1st as FNB connect does not allow me to settle this without paying a R600 penalty, which is utterly ridiculous.
