FNB Connect gift with a sting in the tail

Dear FNB Connect I have my family with FNB connect and they just recently all had a negative experience that I'd like to give you feedback on.

Recently they all got given a 1 Gig gift as an apology for some or other outage. The gift had a sting in the tail and my kids are now without data for the rest of the month. The 1 Gig is only valid for 6 days which is fine but couple that with the fact that the data they already had for the month is sucked up before they get to use the Gig and you have these scenarios: 1. The kid who has 500Mb, meant to last a month, sees the Gig and thinks they have 6 days to burn through it. Instead FNB deducts their usage against the 500Mb they have already, cancels the 1Gig gift after 6 days and the kid is left with nothing for the rest of the month. This is the case with both kids. One is left stranded and alone at Access Park and unable to contact us. 2. To illustrate the problem further here is another hypothetical scenario: a kid with 1Gig to use for the month, gets given the FNB "gift" of 1Gig for 6 days but they can never use it because they have to use up their monthly allowance before they can smell it. If they took 6 days to use the monthly allowance I paid for, they'd be left with nothing after 6 days. 3. The only person unaffected by the "gift" was my wife, who ignored it and continued as normal. As a result she still has data for the rest of the month. The 1 Gig came and went without any benefit. Thanks but no thanks?

Basically, you gave them something they couldn't have until they'd burned through what I've paid for. The gift effectively encourages them to use up what I've paid for to last a month and then forces me to buy more at a premium rate.

Must I tell them to please ignore any "gifts" from you in future because they come with that sting in the tail, or are you going to put the gift at the front of the queue so it can actually get used, or are you at least going to make it valid until the end of the month? Because the way you have it structured now I'd rather not have it.
