FNB CONNECT FAIL AFTER FAIL

This is my latest FNB Drama.

1. The sales person who sold me the package told me the sim card uses all networks but later I discovered it uses cellc and virgin, both of which are inferior networks and have limited coverage in many areas. The agent also neglected to tell me there would be a courier charge, which was debited from my account on 04/09/2016.

2. The courier arrived at my house to drop the sim card at 8pm on the 3/10/2016, a Saturday night while I was alone with my 2 year old daughter. He was also 5 days late. From the sms I received stating the courier would be dropping the sim.
Shortly after, I received a message stating the courier costs had been debited off my account, I knew nothing about these costs. I then got on the phone with FNB to query this cost and to ask for a refund because of the inconvenience. I called on two separate occasions, the agents told me they needed to call me back, both time the agents did not call back.

3. A few weeks into my contract the network went down completely for an entire day 11/10/2016, rendering me unable to continue my business away from WiFi.

4. When I cancelled the contract my sim card was blocked, I tried to call from the App while connected to wifi but because of the terrible signal the call was dropped multiple times. Eventually I had to phone in from another sim card, wasting R30 airtime.

5. When FNB blocked my sim card for no apparent reason, I called in multiple times from my other sim card and no one could tell me what was going on!???!!! The next day I got this SMS “You have successfully unblocked your FNB Connect SIM. For customer support please call ********** 147.” What the hell???

6. They also removed all my data and debited my airtime by R100. On the 20/10/2016 I received an sms “ Good day JACQUI FITZMAURICE, Please note contract will be cancelled as of 01/11/2016. Kindly note No cancellation fee will be charged. Regards FNB Connect.” Not sure why this R100 was debited off my account at all!! But it prevented me from porting out. Which I think was the ultimate goal here....

7. After calling FNB on Saturday 5/11/2016 - I have the recording... I was told in no uncertain terms that if i pay the cancellation fee I will be able to port out immediately. So, I loaded the - R100 airtime to get my balance back to R0 but still the port would not go through.

8. After three weeks of back and forth between FNB, Vodacom and MTN, I have now done alot of research and it seems no one has a story about successfully porting away from FNB. Once you're in you're trapped and will never get out! It seems I will have to give up on my business phone number which is a huge inconvenience.

9. Another thing is that the app is supposed be free and not use data when using the fnb sim card but barely ever works unless I'm connected to my Telkom WiFi at home where I don’t need the app.

10. I have sent 3 emails to their social media guy. with call recordings and he said he had escalated the issue but nothing has been done. In three weeks I am no closer to getting away from these vultures.

This has been an insane mission. I have been an FNB customer since 2005 and expect far more....
I have spent more time and money trying to save time and money with this package and it has been two months of continuous uphill.

In total this fail of a sim card has set me back
R 50 Courier ( which i would have paid happily if i had been informed.)
400mb Data (to connect to my husbands hotspot for business when this stupid sim had no coverage)
R30 Airtime to call FNB from another sim card
50 SMS bundle (to send multiple port SMSs)
R100 voice bundles to call FNB cos their stupid app doesn't work

R100 cancellation fee (i was advised I wouldn't have to pay)
The costs are still accumulating.
