FNB Connect - DO NOT TRY AND APPLY IT DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE!

SO, I made the huge mistake of moving from Vodacom to FNB Connect. I moved most of the family over to FNB Connect and for the last person we had to wait for the Vodacom contract to expire before changing it to pre-paid. That has now happened and for some days I have been trying to apply for the new FNB sim online. IT DOES NOT WORK!! This after successfully applying and receiving 4 in the past.

I have made contact via the FNB Website query system, my "Private Banker", emails to goodness knows how many email addresses some of wich are "Unattended". I have called them on 087 numbers only to be put through to countless people all of which could not help.

I have explained in all the correspondence and calls that I am out of country and need to be contacted via email or whatsapp. They still try and call to my cellphone which does not work in most places where I am and, if lucky, receive SMS's some times. My "Private Banker" even advised I go into a branch!!! Sure I will quickly fly home and go to a branch and quickly fly back!

I advise everybody to first carefully consider making use of any FNB products and first investigate other alternatives unless you are comfortable with having to spend many frustrating hours trying to get something done.

Talking of which, when trying to use their online system to managed your cellphone contracts, most of the time you get an error message saying something like "SIM data cannot be found" or "There are no sims on this account" or something to that effect.

I even had to send mails to their online people to include the Sim Card option for their mobile and tablet banking apps. The mobile app was done but for the tablet app still eludes the FNB client. In fact if I recall correctly I had a reply from there online people that certain apps only allow for certain functions...what a joke!

I thought Vodacom customer care was bad, wait till you experience FNB Connect! At least with Vodacom when you login you can genuinely Manage your contract!!

I have found that FNB in general is going backwards as opposed to forward and I am convinced that they are not in control of their bussiness. See my other posting about their useless offs**** system, FNB Channel Islands.

I have been a happy client with FNB for many years but lately I am utterly dissappointed in what they are doing. They ****med me by saying I am a "Private Client" don't be fooled this means nothing.
