Fnb Connect Cellphone Contracts - Poor Service, No Delivery, Uninformed Staff
I was interested in Fnb Mobile contracts so on Saturday 2 December visited the FNB Branch at Lifestyle Centre. Branch advised that I take a pamphlet and do the ordering online. 1st Problem: Pamphlet shows the contract I want as R299 a month for 300minutes, 2gb + 2gb Data. Online ordering shows R299 as only 100minutes and 300mb data. First enquiry to FNB, no clear helpline numbers, call centre staff not aware of this deal, not sure how number porting works etc. Eventually get feedback that the 300min, 2gb data deal is "out of stock". So try to order the normal deal online, struggled to process the order, with sim card for the indicated R299. So call Call Centre, order two contracts and request more information about how the sim swop will work, This whole process takes about 45 minutes, very cumbersome. Order processed on 5th of December, get sms's indicating that delivery will happen before 17pm on 7th of December. On the 7th no feedback from tracking company (Ram) so call them at 4pm call centre advises that delivery will happen before 17pm. at 16:40pm no feedback yet on contacting the call centre they advise that driver is running late should be at my office 17:10. 17:20 no feedback, On contacting the call centre they advise that the driver will be on site before 18:00pm . 17:40 on contacting the call centre they advise that I must contact their Pretoria Delivery Centre, tried calling the delivery centre multiple times, no reply. 17:50 on contacting the call centre again they advise that they will call me back before 18:00pm, Yet to receive feedback and probably never will. Right now willing to cancel this and rather go somewhere else, actually considering moving my bank accounts and future transactions as well. Service from Fnb was always very good but lately it looks like they do not care about customers.
