FNB complaint.
On the 30th May, 2019 I purchased cash foreign exchange for the UK and was given obsolete/******* notes. Subsequently I took a day out of my travels to visit a bank, who agreed to exchange all the ******* notes, provided I had proof of air ticket, identity and that I had bought them in South Africa. On my return, I requested a refund of the service fee charged, as I felt I had not received a service at all. After numerous emails, Craig from FNB, Newton Park phoned in September and confirmed that the refund would be paid back. Nothing happened. I then had to visit FNB Newton Park, PE as they do not have telephonic connections, and spoke to Mike on the 24th October. He promised I would be contacted on Monday, the 29th October. Nothing has happened.
